Hi, I want to start by thanking those parents and grandparents that came to support our runners at the Grout Gallop. The kids did an AMAZING job running laps around our field. Forms were passed back yesterday so students could collect money from their pledges. Since we ran on our track instead of traveling to Cleveland, we divided the laps ran in half so people who pledge dollars per lap would not be surprised at the high number of laps ran. Congratulations to Joshua in our class for running the most laps at 22 laps!

We have a very exciting field trip coming up on May 19th; we will be heading to the Oregon Zoo for students to observe different animal habitats. My class just finished our habitat unit before Spring Break, but unfortunately we were only able to observe the insect habitats on the playground. This will be a great opportunity for kids to see different animal habitats. I do have my four chaperone positions filled, but am still waiting to ensure they have approved background checks. Please try to have permission slips turned in as soon as possible. We are hoping for nice sunny weather!

Hi Parents,

We had a great day celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. The kids loved relaxing in their pajamas while reading Dr. Seuss and our favorite books.

This Thursday, March 9th, the kinder, first, and second grade classes will be participating in the Spring Concert in the auditorium at 6:30 pm. The kids are very excited to show off their singing that they have been practicing for the past couple weeks. I was able to watch a sneak peak today, and they sound amazing!

Hi Parents and/or Guardians,

As many of you know, I have been the long term substitute teacher in your child's second grade class. I have been loving every minute of getting to know your kids! It is still unknown how long I will be their teacher, but we will inform you as soon as we know.

We have been having a great time together since I have joined this wonderful class. Our trip to Franz bakery was one of the most exciting days we have had in the past month. The kids had a blast walking around the factory. They were able to observe the process of how bread starts as ingredients all the way through to the packaging room.
